3-DAYS MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARKINTERNARY Day 1: Uganda Safari to Murchison Falls National Park. You will be picked up by our representative from your doorstep and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route, you will stop over at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to trek White Rhinos before proceeding to Masindi for Lunch. Drive through budongo forest arriving late in the evening. You may choose to visit the top of Murchison falls or go direct to; Drive time: 5-6hrs Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat cruise After an early morning breakfast transfer to the Savannah section of Murchison Falls National Park for your game drive. Your guide will help you to spot several wild plants and animals. If lucky, you may spot lions, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, and several birds that may include, the rare shoebill stock, saddle billed stock among others. Return to the lodge for a short relaxation moment, lunch and later in the afternoon, go for your boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. This 17 km cruise is the highlight of Murchison falls visit as observing water squeezing through a narrow gorge and dropping down 50 metres, is truly one of the few experiences you may not want to miss while on your Uganda tour. Day 3: End of your Uganda safari to Murchison Falls National Park Breakfast early, then transfer to Budongo forest for an optional half day Primate Walk in search of primates. On the walk, you may see Black and white colobus monkey; Red tailed monkey, Baboon, Grey cheeked mangabeys or the chimpanzee. After lunch in Masindi, transfer to Kampala. Drive time: 5-6 hours. Queen Elizabeth NP SafariDuring this trip, the various tour activities will include; - Boat cruises at Kazinga channel, game drives, interaction with local people, visit to Kyambura wild life reserve, see traditional salt works and the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha segment. ITINERARY Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park This will start with the early morning breakfast, and then embark on your trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park (1978sq.km) in western Uganda. Have a break at the Uganda Equator for photo. Move on to Mbarara town where you will have lunch before continuing to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is one of the excellent treasures of Uganda and named after UK’s Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Uganda in 1954. As you get into the park, you will be able to see the escapements of Rwenzori Mountain Crater Lakes, rift valley and spot some animals on the roadside. Have an evening game drive in the park and see the tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs and leopard. Then take dinner at Mweya Safari Lodge or Institute of Ecology where you will have a good outlook of Kazinga channel and Lake Edward peninsular. Day 2: Early morning game drive. Have a cup of African tea in the morning and take chimp safari to Kyanbura Gorge and you will stumble upon with buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda kobs and other animals plus a collection of birds. Over 95 species of mammals and 600 species of birds have been recorded. Then head to Katunguru trading centre where there are different ethnic queen Elizabeth’s with very much related languages for cultural performances You will be taken back to Mweya Safari Lodge for refreshments and lunch. Take a boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon and spot buffaloes close to the water, scores of hippos, and swarms of pied kingfishers and Pelicans among others. After lunch, apart from boat cruise one can take jungle walks in the widespread Maramagambo forest preceded by a brief history and background of the forest. While on the guided forest nature walks, you will see the bat cave with pythons in there. There are other trails which will lead you to the crater lakes and the blue River which is in the vicinity of the bat caves. You may probably see other primates like chimps plus elephants and birds. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. DAY 3: Morning Game Drives You will sart this day by waking up early to catch up the early risers’ game drives that usually start at 6:30 when the predators are returning to their hideouts. You could possibly see elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards and hippos grazing. Have a late breakfast at your Lodge and then proceed to Kampala. Arrive in Kampala in the evening where you will have a wonderful dinner and overnight as you reflect on the concluded exciting trip. Day 4: Airport Transfer. Day 1; Transfer to Ngamba Island | Afternoon chimp feeding. Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast in the morning and shortly brief you about the trip. Later you will transfered to Lake Victoria port in Entebbe where you will get on a motor boat to Ngamba Island. This will take 45 minutes roughly to reach the Island. On reaching the island, you will have a chance to view the chimps, watch them feed, Play and could as well feed them. Arrival at the airport Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our driver guide who will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. DAY 2: KAMPALA-LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK You will set off after breakfast for the Lake Mburo National Park in the western part of the country. You will have a stopover at the Mpigi Drum Makers village to see how the Royal drums are made using traditional methods that have been handed down over generations. Another stopover will be at the Equator for photos at this international landmark where you will also watch the mesmerizing water experiments conducted at the spot where the two hemispheres divide. You will continue the drive through the rolling hills and plains dotted with community homesteads and herds of the long horned Ankole cattle to Lake Mburo National Park. You will arrive in time for an afternoon boat ride and later retire for dinner. DAY 3: MORNING GAME DRIVE-TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK. You will wake up early in the morning before the sunrises and set for a set off for a morning game drive to enjoy the rich biodiversity of this small park that boasts of the large herds of zebra, impala, gigantic eland, topis and a variety of bird species. Alternatively, you may choose to go for mountain bike safari (on payment of a supplement of $15 per person for 2 hours) or horseback riding safari in the park (on payment of $60 person for 2 hours). You will return to the lodge for a late breakfast and hit the road again for Bwindi Forest National Park, arriving in the evening. DAY 4: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK. After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. One of Africa’s major highlights is when you encounter these gentle apes. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge. If your trek was relatively short, you may have a guided nature walk around the lodge and the surrounding communities in the evening. Return to the lodge where you will enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers before getting a good night’s rest for tomorrow's safari adventure. Do not forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and waterproof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain. DAY 5: WATER FALL VISIT AND COMMUNITY WALK IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE. After an early morning breakfast, you will go for walk in Bwindi impenetrable national park that leads to pleasant clean waterfalls with views of epiphytic ferns, tree ferns and Orchid’s colorful butterflies will include hiking, nature walk, this activity will take you 3 hours approximately, on your way back to the lodge you will have a chance to to see different bird species and you will enjoy birdwatching. Return to the lodge for Lunch. After Lunch, you will take a community walk around the lodge that will include visiting villages and the Batwa people to see how they live.in the evening while having your coffee at the Lodge, Entertainment like singing and dancing from the local people will be organized for you so that to enjoy your last night at the Lodge. DAY 6: RETURN BACK TO KAMPALA You will have a relaxed breakfast and set off on the journey to Kampala. You will arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon. Jinja is the adventure capital of East Africa and the source of the longest river in the world. The adventure activities include; the legendary white water rafting on the Nile, source of the Nile boat experience, bungee jumping, kayaking, jet boating, Fishing, bird watching, squad biking and horse riding in communities along the Nile.Day 1: Sezibwa Falls and Mabira Forest Walk The journey to Jinja goes through beautiful scenery of plantations of sugar and tea, and colorful roadside fruit markets. Our first stopover is Sezibwa falls a beautiful Buganda kingdom cultural site with an interesting legend about origin of the river and Sezibwa falls. On a good day you will find people who come to the traditional healers for blessings and to dispel the curses they believe are disrupting their successes. Our next stop will be a hike through Mabira Forest; learning about the rich heritage of the Uganda people who lived in the forest and and opportunities of sighting or listening to different bird species, beautiful butterflies, primates, and tree species. Finally, the highlight of your trip – a boat ride to the “Source of the Nile” at the now submerged Rippon Falls. This is where the Nile starts its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean Sea from Lake Victoria. The boat ride can take between 30 minutes and one hour. You will be able to see the place where river Nile starts to separate from the waters of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. Journey time – 2 hours Day 2: Full day White Water Rafting on River Nile in Uganda Today is an adventurous active day on river Nile. After breakfast, you will transfer to the briefing place before you start your day on River Nile. You will go white water rafting on the longest river in the world for a fulfilling adventure. The white water rafting goes through some of the best grade five rapids with spectacular leaps and drops; enjoy the scenery of forested islands and the roar of various waterfalls. Wooden canoes with locals congregate in the calm waters anxious to see the rafts in action and fisher men as they go about their business. You have opportunity to swim whenever you reach the spots where the water is placid before you start the rapids again. This is an adventure in the pearl of Africa on the worlds longest river. DAY 1: UGANDA MUSEUM This day starts with a visit to Uganda Museum which was established in 1908 and is the oldest museum in East Africa. The museum displays Uganda’s cultural heritage; one can see ethnological and natural history exhibitions, a vivid reminder of the country’s colourful past. It also features a collection of traditional musical instruments, cars from way back during the colonial days among others which visitors are free to play.Duration: 2 hours DAY 2: VISIT TO KABAKA'S PALACE AND BULENGA IN MENGO This is the palace of the kabaka, the king of Buganda. Built in 1885, the Twekobe is a symbol of Buganda Kingdom’s past power and glory. History of the Baganda, and colonialism. Buganda is Uganda's largest tribe and the people from whom the country derives its name. The King’s palace is seated directly opposite Bulange Houses with a 2.3KM Kabaka Anjagala road connecting the two buildings. Bulange houses Buganda Kingdom’s administration and parliament. In the past, sessions used to be held under trees, before they moved to a grass-thatched building. Construction of Bulange began in 1955 when Ssekabaka Mutesa returned from exile in Scotland with a drawing of what he wanted it to look like; it was completed in 1958. It’s a good place to learn about the history and culture about Buganda. Note that ladies shouldn’t wear trousers when visiting. Duration: 2 hours DAY 3: KAMPALA CENTRAL MOSQUE. This takes us to one of biggest mosques in Uganda located at Kampala hill in the old kampala area of Uganda. This mosque is a 15000 seater constructed and completed in 2006. This was donated by the late Colonel Muammar Gaddafi of libya. Duration: 1 hour DAY: 4 DRIVE TO KASUBI TOMBS This drive takes us to one of the historical site after a quick lunch. Its a visit to one of Uganda's few UNESCO heritage sites The Kasubi tombs is the burial site of four of Buganda’s past Kabakas (Kings). Make a stop here to learn all about the rich history of this great Kingdom. Duration: 1 hour DAY: 5 DRIVE TO THE BAHAI TEMPLE The Bahá’í Mother Temple of Africa, also known as the Mashriqu’l-Adhkar, is the only Bahá’í temple on the continent and one of only nine around the world. The temple on the hill is located about three kilometres (two miles) from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. we ,ake a trip to discover more. Duration: 1 hour DAY: 6 UGANDA MARTYRS CATHOLIC SHRINE NAMUGONGO Thousands of Catholic pilgrims from around the world have gathered in Uganda to celebrate Martyrs Day, where more than 20 Catholics converts were executed 124 years ago on the instructions of King Mwanga of Buganda. At least 20 Anglican converts were also executed by the king, who allegedly took offence to the conversion of his subjects. Duration: 2-3hrs

DAY 2: ENTEBBE - TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK (387KMS). Pick up from your hotel and drive west to Fort Portal through verdant countryside passing through traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. The drive approximately takes 5 hours. Arrive at the lodge in time for a late lunch. Relax at the lodge or take an unguided walk around the lodge to enjoy the beauty of the scenery. DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK After breakfast at your lodge, transfer to the starting point of your Chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, man’s closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked Mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. Therefore, you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins as they gloom and bond with one another. Alternatively, you may opt to do chimpanzee habituation experience by paying a supplement of $70; this exercise takes the entire day. Only six people are allowed per day and you will be sure to come face to face with these closest cousins of man. Advance booking is necessary for this option. After lunch have an optional Bigodi swamp walk at an extra charge fee of $45 per person. Bigodi was established by a local development organization to protect the 4sq-km Magombe Swamp that is home to around 200 species of birds (highlights include papyrus gonolek, white-winged warbler and great blue turaco). The highlight of this tour is catching a glimpse of the great blue turaco. The swamp is also good for spotting butterflies and primates, with eight different species here, including grey-cheeked Mangabey. Experienced local guides who interact with the guests and make the trip both enjoyable and exciting lead the 2-3 hour guided walk. DAY 4: KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK –QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – 150 KM After your morning breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. As you go through the park, have a game drive to spot some animals like the Elephant, Buffaloes, bushbucks, and Uganda Kob, Antelopes, Warthogs, among others. Have a hot lunch in the afternoon and enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is a 42kms channel joining Lake Edward and Lake George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. It offers and excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species. DAY 5: QUEEN ELIZABETH – MORNING GAME DRIVE - BUNYONYI Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Have an early morning game drive where you have an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to spot lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. The game drives and the boat trip (taken prior) are memorable methods of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. Be sure to have your camera ready for these amazing sightings! Alternatively, you may opt to go for a balloon safari on payment of a supplement of $380. Arise early in the morning and proceed to the starting point of your balloon safari at the Kasenyi gate of Queen Elizabeth NP at 5:30am. This early drive in the dark is a chance to see nocturnal animals that live in and around the park. You will meet your pilot and be given a safety briefing and instructions for boarding the balloon as well as landing procedures. The flight gives you great photo opportunities that are different from an ordinary safari on the ground. We embark on a 2 1/2 drive towards the northern part of the country passing through the districts of Kampala,Luwero to Nakasongola home of the rhinos.It is 176Kms North of Kampala off Kampala – Gulu. This was founded by the Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority with the aim of re-introducing Black and White Rhinos in Uganda’s National Parks. The Majestic animals once found in Kidepo and Murchison Falls National Parks had been extinct due to wide spread poaching. Following the extinction of Uganda’s rhinos in the early 1980s during the period of civil unrest and heavy poaching, a sanctuary was established to breed black and white rhinos and restore their populations in Uganda’s protected areas at a later stage. The sanctuary is currently a home to 13 Southern white Rhinos. Rhino trekking takes about 2hours in the company of well trained and knowledgeable local guides. So after this great experience, you will head to the restaurant for your thrilling lunch and some refreshments. From here you will emback on a trip back to kampala for overnight. 2 Days Sipi falls hike tour Uganda Day 1 : Tranfer to sipi falls from Kampala Leave Kampala around 7:00am with a pick up from the hotel of your residence, using Jinja highway to eastern Uganda. Catch a glimpse of the most amazing features along the way, that is; Mabira rain forest and River Nile in Jinja. Lunch will be had at any restaurant of your choice along the way.On arrival, you will have to pick some walking sticks from the locals around for the trek preparation. Set out to hike to the top most waterfall. Reach the waterfall and come close to the pool with that cool breeze and cold splashes to take away the sweat, fatigue. Along the way, you will come across a trail that cuts into the cliff, move to it to look at the overwhelming views behind the waterfall. After spending some good time, head to the other water falls located midway which has a small cave where you will relax for a bit and enjoy the marvelous views of the slopes of Mount Elgon. Thereafter head to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 2: bird watching, local coffee processing experience and local cultural experience. It is known that Mount Elgon is among Uganda’s destinations for birds. Have an early morning breakfast and head out to the birding experience, where you will come across different beautiful types of birds. Head to the lower slopes of Mount Elgon where you will come across the Sipi popular coffee farming. You will join a household where you get to see and go through the experience of local coffee processing. Thereafter, move to the local communities inhibited by the Sabin, a tribe with interesting ancient cultures mostly known for the female circumcision, the local cultural dances are also quite interesting to look at. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day three: return to Kampala. Enjoy the breakfast, check out and return back to Kampala or Entebbe.
